I’m going to just take a minute right there to tell you to stay in your lane. Spirit pilots are getting a leg up because 21-R of our UPA has provisions for helping ALPA carriers in distress. You see, we are a unionized group and we take care of our own before we help others. We will soon be offering the same protection to the 35 Amerijet pilots who are about to be furloughed. So yeah. spirit pilots are getting ahead of you because you already have a job, many of them are furloughed or are in a period of career uncertainty which means they might not have one for long.

I’m not quite sure where this narrative came from, that Spirit and Frontier are like regionals.

Not saying all of those FO’s that put that sour taste in your mouth but a good portion of them had to stand in line probably longer than you when they were at the regionals……….and that was just for Spirit.

Spirit is also a carrier in distress…..I know OO is all like anti organized labor and unions are evil…….but you might want to like ditch that opinion (if you have it) like yesterday prior to coming to United.

that makes sense. I might work for OO but I am not OO. I don’t drink their coolaid. I’m very pro union.

I’ve made peace with not getting an offer or interview from United. WN is not a stepping stone for me.

After several years of commuting to the east coast you will realize your mistake of not keeping your UA app updated. I just flew with someone who left WN after 1 year just to get back to DEN 2 months out of training.

Displaced SWA pilot lurking here. Counting down the days to my UAL class date lol.

lol SEE WHAT I MEAN!

Get over the woe is me crap and butt hurt about spirit pilots. Either keep your app updated or enjoy that east coast commute!

PS nobody here or already on the UA seniority list cares one bit about you not continuing to update your app.

Why does this thread exist?

He/she is upset they got pigeonholed by United for being at SkyWest (United Express) and they’re venting their frustration… publicly…

Same reason why ex Envoy/PSA/Piedmont pilots now at United lurk on the AA threads for opportunities to toss shade. Same reason that Ex Comair guy now at AA randomly gaslights on the Delta threads… they’re upset about what should/could have been.

To the OP—it is what it is. You will absolutely be commuting to the east coast for a while before you start driving to work. That sounds terrible—I’d suck up the ego and keep updating your apps at United. If you can’t do that I’d move—Denver is extremely overrated anyway.

Watch how quickly you get the Hogan when you add a 737 type rating to your app.
