Right I think it’s just that SFO for numerous reasons is just much more conducive to our Widebody international network. Just pointing out to those who won’t waste any opportunity to bash Texas with thier condescending classist attitudes……..claiming witless that “Ugh-stun” is no place for the international scene.
We USED to have EWR Trans Pacific……but of course politics…or rather geo politics……….but I find it interesting that the elimination of such a cash cow and generator of seniority for both inflight and flight has largely just been normalized and treated with apathy. Look I want WB growth and I would love to see it in IAH. But if it it’s better in SFO then put it in SFO. I want the airline to make money flying our metal. |

make fun of Texans and then blame others for making fun of Texas. What kind of backwards reasoning is that? don see the rest of the wurl…it’s actually Pidgeon English vernacular. A common lingua Franca in West Africa. You see this company’s first flight to Africa was actually out of IAH (Lagos Nigeria 🇳🇬 for the fact checkers) . I’m using that as a backhanded comment to counteract this idea that for so many liberal “educated” among us the “World”…really only seems to mean Canada,Australia and Western Europe. 😉 |

It’s actually pigeon English but thanks for playin!
Since you edited your post…… The first flight to LOS out of IAH was because of the fence on the 787 and it was pre SLI. There was some oil contracts that filled first class but the rest of the flight was not a money maker. you see (for the fact checkers out there) LOS was NOT United’s first flight to Africa. |

where did I say it didn’t count? United Airlines operated to Africa before the merger even back to the 90’s…..so it is factually incorrect to say that “this company’s” first flight to Africa was IAH-LOS.

Well maybe I ll learn something? Where was it?....Look it man you don't know me I don't know you, but I wasn't making fun of Houston, Dallas or any its environs.
there may havebeeen more in the past but I know that existed pre merger. I don’t live in Texas nor am I from Texas I just call out hypocrites when I see them. Not one single person on this thread said anything negative about IAH or Texas. |
