Nothing to lobby for, they're already doing both. The current process allows you to get the gates for 3 months or so before the new process kicks in for the next IATA season.

So what (happens/ happened) when BCAD (files, filed) their motion to compel assumption or rejection of the lease, and then (moves/moved) to the new utilization framework for the end of the IATA summer season?

The prob is , even if we get some extra gates , just flying further more from FLL to one of our hubs doesn’t actually replace what Spirit of JetBlue do. It’s is/was a job for those airlines, passenger could fly to several cities like Cancun, Jamaica etc with out having to go to EWR / IAH / DEN
we off no flights other than to our own hubs. Either we need to grow outside of this model or let someone else have these gates. I wish I saw some actual flying from FLL / MCO / TPA to any other city of than our hubs. Every single other airline does this including Delta . We’re doing great but we need to evolve |

I am confused, please circle correct choices.
So for BCAD and the airlines its a game of chicken to make it painful enough for BCAD to not have revenue coming in from those gates and concessions near them and compel them to make a longer term deal. What the airlines are hoping for is that a) the creditors reject the lease and b) BCAD goes in and does a traditional bakeoff for those gates. The utilization framework they're going to though may exclude a bunch of carriers. |
