“Don’t blame me because I left the cockpit door open and a drunk guy got in my seat”

Charter, shmarter, just close the door.

So, that captain is saying she never authorized this and this was simply a passenger who snuck into the flight deck while she was gone. She was so upset with the situation that she filed a report.

I could almost buy that if that is all it was. But if that was the case, why did she take a video of it! The video clearly shows the captain encouraging and approving of this action.

Has it been confirmed the female voice on X was the captain?

Good point. I can't find the original anymore, but i remember seeing it when it happened. I remember a female voice and the things she was saying gave me the impression that she was the captain.

That's an older video. The one where that coach is in the seat seems to be gone now. I can only find clips of news channels showing it, but they don't have the sound on.

I've worked charters at 3 airlines and none of them allowed the door to be open. It was made very clear in the FOM, training, and OE. I'm kind of surprised United didn't have that policy at the time or even that the general culture was to leave the door open.

I think the only time I have had doors open has been when the cabin only had other airline employees which was usually the only exception in the FOM.

It was always one of the first things the charter briefing paperwork said, it’s always been the policy.
