UAL now with access to CAL listing. Questions

Hello all,

Wife is a UAL 320 F/O voluntary furloughee. Now that we have access to CAL's listings, and since I do all the travel arrangement stuff for us (when she was off the clock, she was all 'YOU do it. I make decisions ALL DAY :D ), I'm here asking the questions for us.

Since CAL shows stuff a little different info than UAL on their SA listing, I do have a few questions that I haven't found answers to on UAL's Skynet.

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/b...s82zul/ctl.jpg

Avail./Capacity/Auth/Booked/RSB are all self explanatory. But what is 'Held'? 'P/S'? And I assume S/A is of course Space Available. But why are the 'S/A' numbers not the same as 'Avail'?

Just trying to make sure that I'm looking at the right stuff when deciding if it's worth listing.

Thanks

Thanks for the response. Of course PS is Positive Space. Brain fart by me there.

I thing I'm missing is the SA numbers show five people, after clicking 'View Pass Rider list', there are only three people listed, one of which is the same guy listing in both FC and Coach. Is that a normal thing for CAL people to do?

UAL just lists once. You almost always pick FC since you'll get coach if FC/BC is full.

Does CAL require you to list in FC AND then again in Coach so if FC is full, you still can get a Coach seat? Don't you get whatever seat is actually available with just one listing?

I did see where UAL/CO employees can non rev on the other airlines, but does that include furloughees?? Anyone do any research into this?? I am a UAL furloughee and see that on CO flights we are able to fly at 33% off ZED fares. As a furloughee, we are unable to take advantage of ZED fares.

No, that guy is listing incorrectly. You list for first if you want a first class seat and coach if you want coach. Of course getting into first takes an act of god as every bonehead is allowed up there with our ridiculous upgrade policy. If there isn't a first class seat for you to sit in it will default to coach.

As for the 5 number vs the 3, that sometimes happens and I still haven't figured it out. It could be a through flight or just some stealthy non-revs who don't want to be identified. In either event does skynet offer up the names and priorities of all the non-revs listed?

If the employee only lists themselves only one seat is shown in the # of seats column. If they are listing for themselves and family members it will show a different number in the #of seats column.

Number of seats Available means exactly that, you could have 30 people listed for 2 available seats. sj1 jumpseat listings always show in coach, some people list in first then list in the jumpseat. There are no "secret" listings, deadhead crew are listed as positive space as "crewone" "crewtwo" etc.

No skynet doesn't show names. You have to go through our stone age Apollo system, very cryptic.....so, I pay for a cheap service that does list names and priorities on the iPhone/iPad with one push of a button basically.

Then I guess I hope ours is the surviving employee travel site. Its also possible on another CAL program, (pda.continental.com), to watch as seats are assigned by the gate agents and keep an eye out for any hose jobs.

Thats true as well but I have seen "secret" listings all the time that are not accounted for. For instance a flight will show 5 pass riders listed and only 3 names appear including family members.
