While amusing, when you consider the offers to the CAL FAs, mechanics and our JNC, that one isn't nearly as laugh out loud funny as this one...

Reaching a new collective bargaining with pilots is a priority for United CEO Jeff Smisek, who believes that fostering labor harmony is paramount if the world's largest carrier is to provide stellar customer service.

At least they quoted the bare minimum we can make, rather than saying what we actually make (with per diem, flying over minimum guarantee, etc...). It's better that the flying public doesn't know what the average 777 captain earns.

Hey bubba, try doing some of the 75 layovers in Europe sometime. Your per diem is the farthest thing from income over there genius.

There is no fight with Skywest pilots. There is a fight with management to take back the flying from the express carriers that should be flown by mainline aircraft and pilots, and prevent them from continuing their outsourcing of our flying. Mainline pilots flying jets smaller than B-737s would be a plus as well, as I see it.

Give it a rest Joe. You're airline will soon be violating our scope clause with aircraft your Pilot group will be flying. I'd say that there's way more to it than "not playing nice together" in reference to Skywest.

Hopefully this will get resolved before the 1st and the IAH base will never open up. If and when that happens, I'll be the first to buy you a happy meal at the McDonald's of your choosing.
