Where will flight training be? Answered?
Will it be split between DEN and IAH? Or all in DEN? I'm guessing the former, at least for now. Logistics of moving sims would be a nightmare.
Can someone from CAL check your posting site and see if there is anything like this posted? DEN also, or IAH as well? From the 'Flying Together' site, under 'What's New', click on 'Career Services'. There are separate log ons for UA and CO employees. When Jeff was done with his horse-n-pony show, the two gentlemen 'escorted' him out when he left....don't remember "Frank" ran around with his own muscle/posse:cool: |
DEN? Don't care. IAH? Don't care. As long as I am in a positive space First Class Seat to and from, not training on a day off, and getting a day's pay for each day of work you can send me to Timbuktoo.

Who says UAL and CAL pilots don't agree? That's spot on! FUPM + 1 |
From what I heard both buildings will be kept with a 737NG sim at TK and Airbus Sim in IAH for reasons mentioned above.

Might as well bring up the fn joint venture united is lookng into with air canada and some carrier in Latin america. They are trying to get the jv's approved quickly and easily.
And the furlough will be increased. Woohoo. |

A major reason for that he cited is to 'protect' the training system....IE - Cat 5 Hurricane hit's IAH, DEN is still running....Crippling Tornado/or huge Snow Storm knocks DEN down, IAH is still running. Again....just one guy who was there, I obviously was not.

I think it will stay split for know as the cost of moving the sims but I would think eventually moved to den as there are bays open and plenty of room. That building could be a cash machine if they went back and did some contract training.

I head to IAH for my PC on the 21st, so I'll see what I can find out. Seems like a good idea to keep them split since one of our largest bases will be IAH. Just wondering why they want our dispatch to be all in ORD since the WX during the winter can cripple an operation in a heartbeat. Nothing like having split ops to cover your bases..........especially since we're being touted as the "largest airline in the world".............at least until we start downsizing with rj's.:(
