I think this would only be true if both sides have come to an agreement on the workrules part of the TA.

Then when Fall comes around, along with fuel price increases, BACK TO THE STREET!!!
My opinion...

This 400 recall rumor on your side was mentioned in other threads on this board over the past few months. I don't think this is anything new. Smisek's continued "fuel cost" comments and possible "shrinkage" leads me to believe as I said in the other thread that they will absolutely not recall or hire until they are forced to because of major disruptions ON A CONSISTENT BASIS to their operations.

Sorry. A major doubter here. With that painting schedule through 2011 I just can't see the need. A lot of gear in the barn these days.

2012. Contract closer and new fuel/ticket cost paradigm...more likely.

What makes me wonder is if CAL side will do recall training or UAL side until things integrated. Flopping back and forth could get costly and complicated. I think they're still trying to figure that out.

Any growth will be int'l, mostly likely Japan and China focus... But that's just a guess.

All I can say is this...when I was recalled the last time, I was notified in early December for a mid March class date. If the recalls aren't happening by now, I don't think many (or maybe even any) will be seen for 2011 summer flying, just an opinion.

United's long range planning committee comes up with a brand new plan weekly.

I think they just reported that domestic capacity would be down for 2011, but international would be up for a net gain overall. There were around 20 vacancies just posted on the UAL side for wide body seats. If they recall pilots within the next year or so many will just require 4-5 days at TK.

Even a one week plan is too much for CAL. Why plan when you can react?

Coto,

I walked in Jan 09......and I can tell you I'd need way more than 4-5 days. But, I ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer.
