I think the argument shouldn't be about black or blue, it should be who pays for it: us or them? I vote them. I'm not talking about the initial uniforms, I'm talking about all of them for the whole career! A uniform allowance every year that is enough to get new uniforms. OF course they pay for the initial ones too.

I vote for Dr. Evil's "quasi futuristic clothing" as the new uniform.

That's NOT even in the the area-code of question. "They" (FLIBS & Crew) wanted this, THEY pay for it.

Next question....

That's along the lines of the DL guys who said they dreaded having to fly the Breast Cancer Awareness plane. Really? That insecure you can't put your pride aside for a very worthy cause?

I'll bet the guys who were worried about flying a plane with a pink ribbon painted on it are wearing some HUGE wrist watches. And driving expensive sports cars. and go by the nick name of Tiny.

For me it is, since I work for less, work on my days off, do training without pay, and currently pay for my uniforms. This is a huge question and another reason to vote "no" if I pay for it. The company will probably pay for the new set of uniforms since its a change, but who pays for the rest of my career? I want all uniforms paid for always. Has that ever been in our contracts?

Homes, methinks you have completely missed the point of my post.

The 'other' dude said UAL's thin stripes were effem (gay). I pointed out that I thought he may have an issue with certain things sexual. He got the joke, and came back with a snappy rejoinder.

Perhaps I was not clear the first time.....and I say again.....THEY (Mgt) wanted this, THEY pay for the 'new threads'.

Not an issue of 'question', beyond simple infact. If this is a HUGE QUESTION, then I don't know what you would consider things such as SCOPE??

Uniforms 100% financed by the company......next?

I was hoping we could look like a Libyian dictator.

Your sagging beer belly and 300 pounds @$$, help you differentiate from regionals. So don't worry, everybody knows that you are real airline pilot, when you walk through the airport in your major airline pilot uniform. ;)
