Assistant Chief Co-Pilots?

WTH? Never had this at CAL that I'm aware of. Does UAL? Also a bulletin out for 737 instructor, with an added paragraph that if an F/O is selected, he will be trained up to a captain, and if he flies a trip, it will be only with management in the right seat. The cheapening continues.

Never heard of this before either but honestly nothing this company does suprises me. So we could have 2 management guys in the same airplane, ouch.

Be happy. The smaller bases won't even have a resident chief pilot. One CP covers more than one base.

Plus, they already can fly two management pilots in the same plane since all CAs are now qualified to fly right seat after doing a right-seat takeoff and landing during last year's sim.

(they were using CAs in the right seat long before that, but now they can tell a CA (and the union) you can't refuse it based on "I'm not qualified to fly right seat")

Have not seen it at ual before. As long as I am not on the plane they can do what they want.

I always thought if you treated your employees with respect, you wouldn't need all the chiefs to crack the whips. I wonder what the future holds?

Fred Abbott is pro pilot! Well management pilot that is. Apparently Fred wants to surround himself with an elite legion. Any dolt who signs on to join him now deserves the silent treatment.

I guess they're going to start treating us with respect. Haven't you heard about the new iPads? Oh boy, such sublime satisfaction.

Respect for me would start with a new contract and a retro check worth at least 1200 ipads.

If you're a captain you can now buy 300 of them (non 3G) since your retro recently hit $150K at retropay2009.com.

Sorry, it's been a long day. I was thinking more along the lines of 120 ipad 2's with some upgrades. But when I really think about it, I want to strike first, then get a contract and my ipad 2's. I want every bit that goose can give.
