CO Pass charges?
I've looked and looked but cannot find where the pass travel charges can be found on the employee res site. I've heard they are substantially higher than on UAL. Can any CAL types tell me where I can find what it would cost a UA guy to nonrev from RSW-IAH-SNA.
Thanks in advance, SNA320 |

Thanks in advance, SNA320 After selecting this hyperlink, there are several fields you need to enter infomation (ie-pass rider type, state of residence, ect) via drop down menus in order the get the accurate/correct charge $$ figures $$ to which your are looking for. Online, this is the only way I know of. I hope that helps you out.... |
Unfortunately, I think that function may only be available to CAL folks. There are the only a few options we are able to access. Is there a different place to look for this. This list is all we have access to:
Custom Routing Employee Profile Terms and Conditions TripAlerts Weather Thanks for the recommendation though, I think our UA page is set up just slightly different. |

EWRflyer, thanks for posting that about fee waived travel. That explains the free coach seating I was quoted for a couple of flights. However, there are still charges for international Y for UAL employees.
SNA320, let me walk you through how we'd find the charges as a UAL employee. Go to employeeRES, put in flights requested. I'll use EWR-CDG for example pricing. Select your flights. You will then have a pass rider page come up. Select class of service. I chose F for me, Y for my wife in this example. (You KNOW it's an example with me in F and wife in Y). Click Create Itinerary. Once the itinerary comes up, there will be a price listed above your itinerary on the right hand side - above travel time and flight number. For this example, F roundtrip is $402.35 and Y roundtrip is $186.66. If that's what you want, click 'book itinerary'. Caution though; sometimes it'll give you bad information. I put in EWR-TUS roundtrip in F. One leg each way is on United Express. It gave me $0 for F but when I put in EWR-IAH (no United Express leg), it gave me $122.05 for F. I'd bet the latter is what you'd be charged. But the odds of actually getting a seat in domestic F are worse than getting hit by lightning. |
I wouldn't waste the dollars on first since it is near 100% impossible to get it as a non-rev. At least for domestic.

Thanks
Thanks for all the answers with this guys! Really appreciate everyone taking the time to help.

"The fee-waived economy travel privileges remove the ZED service charges from the interim program that United co-workers and eligible pass riders pay to fly on Continental flights, as well as the charges Continental co-workers and eligible pass riders pay for travel on United flights in all domestic markets. It also removes the service charges Continental co-workers and eligible pass riders pay to travel in economy on domestic Continental routes." "Will co-workers and other eligible pass riders continue to pay service charges for traveling in premium cabins? Yes. All pass riders will continue to pay applicable service charges for traveling in premium classes, system-wide on their respective carriers. Co-workers of each subsidiary and other eligible pass riders will continue to receive a 33 percent discount on ZED fares for travel in premium classes on flights operated by the other subsidiary. Service charges will be standardized across both subsidiaries when the integrated Pass Travel Program is introduced in 2012." |
