CHICAGO (AP) -- Boeing Co. said Tuesday that former Continental Airlines Chairman and CEO Larry Kellner will join the airplane maker's board of directors.
Kellner ran Continental from 2004 through 2009. The company is now part of United Continental Holdings Inc.
Kellner, 52, lives in Houston and is president of Houston-based private equity firm Emerald Creek Group.
Boeing said Kellner will be on the board's audit and finance committees.

I think even more likely BEFORE we get a contract is "we really want to order xxx airplanes but we can't do it if we give you..." Look for it to be a negotiating tool for management. You know pilots love shiny new jets and no doubt there will be something they want from us. Sad part is, we will probably fall for it.

Well, I'm in the bottom third so isn't growth good? I mean if we get new airplanes and guys retire and there are more upgrades isn't that like a built in pay raise????
