Jeffy says JCBA not done because of politics

Q: What's your verdict on the status of the merger?

A: We're exactly where we expected to be, in terms of things that we've accomplished. The only thing where we haven't gotten where we wanted to be by this point is in getting the labor agreements done. With the pilots, there has been some degree of intra-union politicking going on and that has delayed it. But that, you can't lay at the feet of management.

Also, Jeffy loves to to spy on the competition. You can read what he thinks about this and many more issues here:

Typical dog and pony rhetoric. So predictable, it will probably illicit no more than a yawn from the union and pilot group. He's so boastful about being a lawyer, and that would be interesting, if it wasn't for the history of airlines ran by lawyers. What a trail of defunct airlines. A better interview would be of the share holders and investors......how's that stock price doing?

Herb Kelleher was a lawyer. Of course all indications to date are Smisek is no Herb Kelleher.

This putz isn't worthy of carrying Herb's (dirty/sweaty/gooey, shmeg-filled) jock, no-less fill his size 11 kicks.

Just sayin'

Of course you know there are sheeple in our own ranks that will believe this.
They will also believe the fear mongering that is sure to come. And trust me they will find a reason if they can't create one. "This is the best TA we can offer in this competitive environment. If its voted down the next one will surely be worse".

Just say no.

Fly safe everyone.

As well as "this is the last, best, and final offer". Gets voted down, the next one now becomes the "last, best, and final offer".

Supposedly this week at the CLE CEO exchange he told a lot of us to read the resignation letter from Wendy Morse and that would explain a lot. Anybody got a copy?

What resignation?

My understanding is she didn't run for another term as MEC chairman. Her current term still goes until December 31st, 2011 2359:59.

Electing not to run again is not the same as a resignation. Is this still more Jeff spin?

That's accurate, I was at the MEC meeting last month and watched the whole thing. She didn't offer her name for nomination, which as you mention is quite different than resignation. A week earlier, she did put out a letter that for the pilot group she would rather step aside than see a divided MEC, which again is different than resigning.

Regardless how you feel about her tenure, she has put in over 20 years of volunteer work at the local and MEC level. I'd be ready for a break as well.
