Obviously nobody has a crystal ball, so take my predictions with a grain of salt.
I believe that any contract that passes at UCH will require a significant number of recalls. I am hopefull (but not completely confident) that the CAL system of scheduling abuse (on the part of the company) and credit time pickup will be a thing of the past. At a minimum, I expect to see restrictions in place limiting the company's scheduling and JM practices when triggers are met. (ie; when there are pilots on furlough.) Even if a contract is not reached this year, the impending retirements should get you back here before the end of the year, and certainly before next summer (2013). (If the summer meltdown happens as most people expect it will, you should have a chance to go to CAL this summer.)

But, I'm sure you've heard all of this before.

Glass half full; glass half empty. It will probably be somewhere in between. I agree that it is good to hope for the best and plan for the worst, and I don't blame you for being concerned about a third furlough. Nobody expected the first furlough, much less the second.

Well. it would take 3 status reps to be able to call for one. I don't think the MEC is willing to recall him.

Lee Moak is un-touchable. Unless he screws up TWA settlement. Better off forcing him to resign. Got any pictures of him with farm animals?

But, Lee knew about that number and its potential for growth when our elected reps voted for him. What puzzles me is, why would he, how could he get voted in under those circumstances? DAL may leave ALPA HAD.
