United responded to the ALPA's call for a strike vote by stating, "It is not uncommon for aviation labor groups to call for a strike vote months or even years prior to being permitted to exercise self-help under the Railway Labor Act. We do not expect the announcement of this union vote to have an imminent effect on negotiations and we continue to make significant progress in mediated negotiations under the auspices of the National Mediation Board."

Sounds like the line in the sand just got deeper. I am so ready to shut this place down. Gate agent at LAX said the majority of our best customers on the PS flights have abandoned us for Delta and American.

Did anyone notice that the company missed the PBS award deadline AGAIN this month..... Ok maybe by only an hour, but seriously 8am central is soon going to become yet another missed deadline EVERY month!
