Strange thing seen in CCS
I was checking my system seniority and noticed at the bottom, with a seniority number of 9999, was a pilot called "Crew Pilot, Airline" or something like that.
It's gone now, but isn't out of character from them "running tests". A few years ago, they were showing 147 pilots with absences, but when called on it they said they were running a staffing test. Guess how many pilots ended up getting furloughed?
147.
So, perhaps the company is gearing up for the SLI being completed soon and is figuring out if our antiquated CCS can handle 10,000+ pilots.
Edit: It's in May staffing, so it's still there.

Hey Jump, disregard any accusations that you might be over paranoid. There is good reason to be suspicious of any and all actions the company is taking in this super heated environment between request for release and the Delta TA. I sam sure you are right and that it has something to do with the end state seniority. No doubt if they come up with a contract offer, the company will want to take full advantage of a merged list ASAP. My personal theory has always been that the SLI is a done deal and being kept in a safe somewhere to be announced immediately after CBA ratification.

Just as both Pilot Group's have jointly requested a "Release" from the NMB, as well as posted the unanimous resolution to authorize a "Strike Vote", the company by all means is maneuvering their pawns as well. I'm sure 'publically' as well to broach this type of 'conversation'.
FWIW & not to drift too far....ALPA has already suffered a HUGE 'mortal wound' by way of the DFR Lawsuit laid on them by the TWA/AMR Merger.....$$Penality Phase$$ of that loss still yet to be known.
I personally don't see ALPA allowing any agreed/brokered deals concerning the SLI by way of the respective MC's. If they have not already learned once from TWA's backlash, I would 'think' that ALPA would be happy to give any/all to the Tri-Panel Arbitration to wipe it's hands publically as not to have "part dos" with DFR lawsuits that could come back to bite them later such as TWA already has.
Midigating your exposure, throws limits to your liability.
