INFORMATIONAL PICKETING AT THE UCH SHAREHOLDERS MEETING(SOC)
Earlier today at the United Continental Holdings shareholders meeting, I was proud to join almost 300 Continental and United pilots as we sent a message to management, the Board of Directors, investors and the public: it is time to get the pilot contract done - NOW. There is no indecision in this combined pilot group; our display of unity and utter discontent with the pace of negotiations was inescapable. Management can once again attempt to distract attention away from their lack of true progress with the merger, but it is quite evident that until labor and specifically the pilots are dealt with, management will NOT be able to reap the full benefit of their merger.

The event today, with the strong participation of our pilots, was an invigorating reminder of those we are working for in these end-game negotiations and the need to press management to reach the terms of an agreement quickly. The JNC and subject matter experts are continuing to work hard to craft the right contract for our pilot groups, and I am already back in the negotiating process this afternoon. I will have more of an update for you later this week, but for now you should know that we continue to work towards an agreement. The June 15 goal that all sides agreed upon as our goal is fast approaching. Management will have to decide if they are willing to get a deal done, or not.

In looking at the preliminary photos in the Blast-Mail (picture #6), looks like there was even a DAL presence of support as well.

Thanks to all the Pilots (from other carriers) who gave their time today to show support in the cause......very much appreciated.

As a two time furloughee, I appreciate your efforts. Hopefully, we will not only get an acceptable contract but maybe also we can start some serious recalls.
