BTW, if you're a NO Voter due to pay banding... I can respect that. But let me ask this.
What do you do if your (sUAL) NC condones PayBanding? ALPA National seems to condone it too.

In our C08 Proposal, we had 4 Bands (categories) for 14 different aircraft types [even though we have/had only 7 different aircraft types at the time].
Currently Delta has 11 bands for 22 different aircraft types. Of which, at least 5 aircraft types are not even flown by Delta.

PayBanding, is here to stay.. in some form. What needs to happen is that the bands have to be set up based on aircraft mission/size and also what they are replacing.

First, pay banding is concessionary and only benefits the company via reduced training costs. Second, Jay Piece doesn't mince words when he says that pay banding will be used in the contract to influence the SLI.

You might want to think twice about the mission/size concept. It might not be the favorable comparison you envision.

Pay banding is only concessionary if the larger planes pays the smaller plane rate. Im all for pay banding if the small plane pays a higher rate, who wouldnt be?

Unfortunately, the emb 170 isnt a mainline aircraft if its currently flown at the regionals.

Have u seen the eagle proposal. 8 yr agreement. Prepping for > 70 seat turboprops? Flipping ridiculous

"What needs to happen is that the bands have to be set up based on aircraft mission/size and also what they are replacing."

Ironically we have "pay banding" in the form of "gross weight airspeed" formula that goes back to the introduction of the jet airplane in the 60s.

My take has always been in the "jet age" pay should be based in seniority.
