Ual omc/jump travel
Hello all,
This may be in the wrong forum but the "commuting" forum hasn't had a new post in a few years so I didn't post there!!
My Airline has a OMC jump agreement with the UAL/CAL folks - Havent used it post merger so I am wondering if anyone can give me an update as to how the process may have changed and if there are any issues as of late. I know there were some denied boardings and problems when the infrastructure was changed but I believe it has been rectified for the most part. Any info you guys have would be appreciated!
On a side note - is anyone able to give me an idea as to what the loads are for UA79 EWR-NRT Oct 01 and UA881 NRT-BKK on Oct 2? Again, any info would be appreciated!
Cheers!
J

I really appreciate the information from you both - I dont really have too many recovery options from NYC and its an expensive place to be stuck! Looking on the seat map for UAL875 SEA-NRT it looks the best out of all the UAL flights to NRT that day - problem is getting there first thing in the am - are any of you able to take a peak at the loads for UA1158 CLE-SEA on Oct 01? Again - I really appreciate the help and info you have already given me - I think based on Ottolillienthal's comments I am going to cross the EWR flight off the list!
Cheers and thanks again

Just checked the loads for you:
UA 1158 to SEA 18 seats open (9 first, 9 coach)
UA 875 to NRT 99 seats open (5 first, 19 biz, 114 coach)
UA 881 to BKK 111 seats open (OCT 2nd)
The only trouble you may run into is out of CLE as those empty seats get dropped into priceline, orbitz etc for peanuts at the last minute. As long as you make it to SEA you're golden.
Good Luck,

Thanks for the info guys - unfortunately we don't have a jump agreement with Alaska and they haven't signed onto my ID so I need to get the paper tix and its a bit too late for that. I will be coming out of YYZ so im gonna try the head start YYZ-CLE and hopefully get on the CLE-SEA - what can go wrong?! If any of you are on here Sunday and wanted to throw a quick update re the CLE_SEA loads that would be awesome! If you guys are ever traveling in Canada and need an idea on loads don't hesitate to fire me a note.
Again I appreciate all the help
Cheers and enjoy the weekend!
