SLIME BALL S.O.B's..Recall news

CAL ALPA is a joke. Won't pursue violations of contract. Nothing more than a stepping stone to management.
Most CAL Capt are just yesmen to management Scumbag operation plain and simple.

So are you saying the L-cal mec is the one to blame? Are you the only pilots to ever take a shot to the chops? We are all in this together but you seem to continue to want to separate yourselves from the rest of us. Why?

Are you for real? Is it possible to be this stupid ??

MANAGEMENT is to blame, the MEC's have NOTHING to do with it. MANAGEMENT are responsible and in charge of the recall process or didn't you know that?

Wadr, how can a 400+ seat vacancy bid be posted on the L-CAL side but as for L-UAL, they just aren't quite sure about summer flying levels? Something is most definitely getting refined.

The same "leadership" regime that just posted a large CAL vacancy bid, and has rushed in the new hire process already for NEXT YEARS staffing is waiting until they can forecast UAL staffing shortage numbers better for THIS summer.

The manpower planners at UAL have readily admitted to the UAL System Schedule Committee (SSC) that they need to start recalls in the first quarter. The SSC did what the company does not want to do; Give the furloughed UAL pilots some information for advanced planing...

The company is certainly playing games with the "official" part of the announcement, and YES, that is reprehensible!

SP

I'd have to agree. This is supposedly one big United family and one airline now with mixed fleet, base, hub use. When they came up with the CAL bid, the system planning committee or marketing or whatever didn't just sit down and create the flying plan only looking at the CAL side of the operation. They looked at total UNITED flying, how it was going to be spread out using what fleets in what bases. They then knew exactly how many pilots would be needed. AND since CAL does it's training plan for a year out (currently) they made a bid announcement. The CAL bid was not done in a vacuum. The company knows exactly how many pilots it needs on the UAL side of the house and is delaying an announcement for reasons we can all surmise.

Just for argument's sake, what do you think happens if the JCBA fails to ratify? Do ya think that management (CAL management - remember that) is going to do anything other than really play staffing games? Seriously, theses guys have lots of tricks up their sleeve that they haven't even begun to play with pilot's lives. This IS NOT a call to pass any JCBA, rather an open your eyes moment that although L-UAL pilots thought Tilton to be bad, Smisek hates us all even more.

HAHA. Yep. Go to United.com or the Flying Together non-rev tool, type in IAH-LHR on 4/1. You will see 3 flights per day on a s-UAL 767. Now type in IAH-AMS on 4/1. Another s-UAL 767. This is in addition to the IAH-LIM, EZE, and GRU coming to s-UAL. It's gonna get ugly unless we get a List.

Jsled- UAL 767 IAH guy

Haaaaaaaa. Man you are blind or a dumba** or both. The mec's had not nothing to do with it. Right. Cause they completely look out for a pilots best interests. When you pull your head and your hat out of your a**, I'll give you a quarter so you can buy a clue. Why do you think the cal side is hiring and the ual side can't figure out a recall? Both mec's play each other and do it with the help of mgmt each and every day. The mecs's are just as culpable as mgmt and both groups continue to allow it.

Wow, I done been educated by a real life honest to gawd Houston 737 pilot!

So just to get this straight ..... Both MEC's are responsible for management pulling back on their recall notice on the LUAL side. Because they are working in conjunction with management to grow the L-CAL side and shrink the L-LUAL side. Because that is the obvious and most advantageous thing for the UAL MEC to do, right?

Now that you done logicalfied it for me it makes perfect sense....... Where's my quarter?

Read the book.

In some cases, the "we are all in this together" battle cry falls on deaf ears and was the driver for my original response. Buttons are most definitely being pushed. My question is, whose fingers are on the button?
