To all who seem to think the "leaked" pay scales are all there is to the pay, start thinking sun-up to sun-down and how tired you get on those lonely over water flights with a suitable airport hundreds of miles away.
I noticed it is also the same few who stomp, thump and shout NO! to a package they know very little about.
The pilots of UCH need a contract NOW!

Seniority sucks when you are junior but becomes more enjoyable as you move up.
The longer I stay here the more Jr. I get.

I've been senior for a very long time, and yes I have taken advantage of the benefits of my position, but I have never looked down on the junior nor have I advocated what you have. You obviously haven't sat F/O or even S/O for almost 2 decades to self serving and self aggrandizing captains. So enjoy where fate has dropped you and maybe by caring for the welfare of the junior a little karma will flow your way.

One can only go by what one reads on these blogs. These blogs are for most of us anonymous and person knowledge of another doesn't really express itself.
His post reflected, to me at least, a bit of a coldness to the junior, the entitlement of the senior and since he is a "767 Captain" what else are we to think?
The moral of the story is to be careful about what is written, even anonymously, on a blog. I am still learning.

I too want a contract NOW.. but I don't NEED a Sub Par Contract any time soon.
Here's a simple question.
If our own CEO and his management team are the Highest Paid Airline Execs out there-
Are you worth more than Delta Pilots?
If not..
Are you worth the same as Delta Pilots?
If not..
Are you worth a few dollars less than Delta Pilots?
If not..
Than I guess you're worth alot less than Delta Pilots.
I am Not.

PS> I agree in looking at the "whole" TA before making the actual Vote. But I have my bare minimums. The Pay Rates and the Retro/Signing Bonus don't meet the minimums. Therefor.. NO.
Seeing the whole document will allow me to highlight the actual deficiencies in every section.. and also the positives.
(though.. I'm hopeful that it gets shot down at the MEC Level. If not, and it passes to only get shot down at our Level- we need to recall every Rep that Voted YES to this. They wasted our time.)

Actually..
2013, 1st yr = $60.93
2014, 2nd yr = $97.24
2015, 3rd yr = $117.21
Based on Cat D Aircraft- A319, 737-5/7
This is (of course) based on the "leaked" payscales. And "supposedly.. there will be some sort of smaller aircraft on there too [Cat E?!]. So I would expect any/all new hires to end up on the lower scale initially.
For comparison..
Delta-
2013, 1st yr = $66.10
2014, 2nd yr = $93.77*
2015, 3rd yr = $113.04*
* Based on B717/DC9
Of course, it's yet to be seen if Delta will actually hire next year.

PS> Looks like a classic Bait & Switch.
Give a higher payscale to a fleet of aircraft that they plan on doing away with.. and then replace them with a C Series or EMB190ish aircraft at a lower scale!
BTW, the A319 at Delta pays $100.50, 2nd yr 2014.
