Default New Pay Scale

What are the rumors of a new pay scale? What would it look like? From the outside looking in, it would be nice to not have to take a 60% pay cut to go to UAL.

Not sure, but I think it's going to look like a tabled graph. The top row will have the years of longevity, while the aircraft types on the vertical axis. It's all hush, hush, so we'll just have to wait it out.

All kidding aside, take the job and seniority as soon as you can, don't wait for a JCBA; you're only giving up seniority.

Barely readable. Copied from another forum. Not official, completely notional based on DAL pay rates.

Are you a furloughee or hoping to be a new hire? If you're coming back from furlough, you'll be paid at longevity/seat/status. If you're new, it's going to be bottom of the rung, about $60 an hour, which is a vast improvement over the old rate of +/-$30/hr.

Plus medical from day one under a new contract.

I would be a new hire... So the $31 an hour thats posted is wrong and the new first year will be around $60?

$60 is a ballpark wag based on rumors regarding the JCBA relative to new DAL payrates. $31 is the current figure at CAL. Now, who knows when a TA will be released and a JCBA ratified? Having said that, $60 is a far more fitting payrate for a new hire at any legacy IMO. I would also hope that the JCBA would have medical insurance from day one for new hires.

Good luck,
Lee

Essentially a banded version of Delta rates with the notable exception that, unlike Delta, there's no increase in 2013. So we lag a year behind Delta for the duration of the contract. Of course the Delta contract is amendable in 3 years, so they'll probably have new rates in place two years before our contract even becomes amendable. Why is a United pilot woth less than a Delta pilot and much less than a SWA pilot? Just vote NO.

FYI, DAL gets another 8.5% pay increase on 1/1/13.
