Default ‘Cliffnotes’ version of JCBA positives?

Without having to comb through the tons of other threads detailing the new JCBA, is there a ‘Cliffnotes’ version (or a summarized list) that details the positive aspects of the agreement in regards to work rules, benefits, scope etc.? I realize there are plenty of negative aspects as well, but since it already passed, I want to focus on the bright side and review the positives only. I thought I remembered seeing a bulleted list of sorts presented by ALPA reps, but I couldn’t find it when searching. Thanks in advance.

Go to the ALPA website and download the "JCBA Highlights" then head to the Ferrarri dealership and stroke the check. After all, it's "industry leading" and a "great win".

But if you're on reserve, make sure that you're in uniform and ready to haul ass to the airport....even if it turns out they don't need you. Maybe while you pull one of your two free Field Standbys you could look at the Ferrarri website and pick out the color?

Please excuse my sarcasm. This is not the contract I expected.

I've been reading it over and over trying to find the gotchas before they get me. It's not an easy read. It would be nice if the union would ask the SME's to come up with a simplified English version of some of the more complex sections. But then again, they may be on their way to the Ferrarri dealership.

I guess I should've mentioned that I don't work at UAL...just trying to educate myself should the opportunity come up!

Hey, at least we get paid less on reserve than we used to. That's an improvement!

Well, as a 756 reserve I worked 87 hrs in Nov (at $109/hr) then in Dec I worked 75 hrs (at $132/hr + 4.50 intl ovrd + incrsd per diem). December check was quite a bit larger than November's. How do you figure reserves get paid less than we used to Otto?

I believe he means that reserve guarantee, at least for short-call reserves on the L-CAL side, will go from 76-hours to 73 hours. So in the normal January-May/September-October months where flying is reduced, it is quite possible and likely not to break guarantee. However, it isn't a pay cut so-to-speak at the new hourly rates. And long-call goes from 72 hours to 73 hours. Besides, one call always opt to bid for a month of pure short call for 77 hours once that gets implemented.

JCBA highlights:

Pierce isn't playing brinkmanship with pilot careers.

Money isn't left on the table.

Chapter closed, moving on.

No trying to convince NMB/WH we want more. A futile effort.

No more listening to NO voters rage about how this CBA doesn't fit their personal airline pilot identity, despite zero reasonable plan of action after the vote.

No more listening to "I voted NO!" or "I told you so".. or wait never mind....
