Doesn't matter. The ALPA agreement states that the A-350's would be counted as United airplanes, just like each UAL and CAL got credit for 25 787's each, even though they weren't delivered.

Except that the 25 CAL 787's were fully financed
and thus are actually being delivered

I think you guys are killing yourselves over SLI stuff that you have no control over.

Sit back, take a sip, take a deep breath, repeat as necessary.

"Most of the world’s international airlines don’t want large quadjets, or only want token numbers, and Japan is no exception,” said Richard Aboulafia, a vice president of Teal Group, a Fairfax, Virginia-based consultant. “Smaller long-range jets permit more direct city pair flights. Airline passengers will pay a premium to avoid flying through a hub.”"

I was just talking to a sUA bud about the future of United's fleet yesterday and we came to the same conclusion. He voiced an opinion that the 747's will prolly get replaced by the A350-1000, with a mix of some 777-300ER's as a stop gap until the next technological leap with the 777X in the early 2020's. Still too many 737's though.
