Of course he needs a SODA now for a gimpy leg, but by gawd he's senior to one more pilot.

Can't do the oldest to youngest. UAL was hit with age discrimination law suit for not hiring anyone older than 30. Long time ago.

As part of the solution, can't use the age within a class anymore. If the training weenies try it, opening up UAL for another huge law suit. The last 4 social was used to introduce some method of randomness in each class. Could also use a roulette wheel as far as I know. Rock, paper scissors?

Strange, AA only hires captains, if you aren't young enough to make it to captain at their predetermined rate, they won't hire u. Been sued many times, but has always won.

Guy in my reserve unit got hired into the same class at AA as a buddy of his. His buddy deferred class a week. That was the week of the TWA merger. That deferral theoretically cost him about 3000 numbers.

Thanks for asking these questions, Cheddar. As a hopeful who has friends at all the majors and who has been researching the airline pilot career for about a year I didn't know the answers to these either. Sorry you get flamed for asking legitimate questions on an internet forum. Some people need to relax a bit and either answer the questions or ignore them.

Cheers.
