The latest welcome video, bragging about all our Atlantic routes: "I started with United in the 90s when we served just a few international cities; we now service 34 on the trans-Atlantic network."

United - Serving our global customers - YouTube

"We directly served 28 Trans-Atlantic destinations . . . from the U.S. mainland as of December 31, 2009."

Was LUAL really just doing six Atlantics prior to the merger?

If that's true, I imagine they are talking about cities(not city-pairs) of which many overlap. LHR, CDG, FRA etc...

So now they're using Dan Katz to produce the safety video?! Sorry couldn't resist.:p

The 37 PAX from Gum to ROR every night is definitely floating the whole airline.

That's correct.

Although there was a huge disparity in twin-aisle aircraft between the pre-merger companies, UA primarily used the jumbos for routes like ORD-DSM, SFO-RNO, and IAD-BOS. Sadly, we just didn't have any aircraft with big motors or iPhone-level long range navigation systems. Thankfully the meger happened so now we can operate nonstop back to IAD. ;)

FWIW, here's the YouTube version of the video mentioned at the start of this thread.

The new wings are kinda crappy looking. I though wearing hats was optional these days?

UAL had LHR, ZRH, GVA, CDG, AMS, BRS, FRA, MUC, DME, And FUC I believe. Also KWI, BAH, And DXB in the Middle East.
