Future of Jeff

Had an FA on recent flight who is a union rep/instructor who says the rumor mill on her side of the fence is that Jeff has accepted a position with the Obama administration and will be gone before year end. She went on to say that the speculated replacement is the CEO of Ford Motors, Alan Mulally. Yes, I know this is one of those situations where I should believe half of what I see and none of what I hear, but... Anyone hear something remotely resembling this??? Here is some data on Mulally...

Alan Roger Mulally (born August 4, 1945) is an American engineer and business executive who is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ford Motor Company. Ford, which had been struggling during the late-2000s recession, returned to profitability under Mulally and was the only American major car manufacturer to avoid a bailout fund provided by the government.Mulally's achievements at Ford are chronicled in the book, "An American Icon: Alan Mulally and the Fight to Save Ford Motor Company" by Bryce G. Hoffman published in 2012.

Mulally was the executive vice president of Boeing and the CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA). He began his career with Boeing as an engineer in 1969 and was largely credited with BCA's resurgence against Airbus in the mid-2000s.

Mulally was the chef engineer of the 777 program and just completed one of the most impressive turnarounds in the history of business (Ford).

IMHO, there is no way he is coming to UCH.

Bob Porter: Looks like you've been missing a lot of work lately.
Peter Gibbons: I wouldn't say I've been missing it, Bob.

I heard this exact same thing from a check airman. Here's hoping. We need a leader, not a lawyer.

Well it is now confirmed a fa and a lca, then it must be true. lol

I don't believe the rumor either...there's just no way Obama would hire Jeff. Seriously though, I heard the same rumor this past week from a couple of people but I give no credence to rumors from other "lowly minions" such as myself.

Add a few more "Cat Wranglers", and a couple more LCA's......Then it's GOSPEL.
