SEA 777 base to close

Delta just announced new flying to Inchon and Hong Kong out of SEA.

Because it would require United to actually compete on those routes, I think we all know what's in store for the UAL SEA 777 base! Wasn't this the blueprint for HNL and ANC?

So if they put the 787 there who gets to fly it? Its a UAL route and pilot base obviously.

Think i read ref international flying changes, there will be 787 base on the west coast and service in SEA by the 787. If the conditions and restrictions are approved requested to the panel by the L-CAL merger committee, it will not be any L-UA pilots on the first 30 787s for sometime....matching the proposed 747 fence. We will hopefully know in the next few weeks.

I say do away with fences altogether ... Doubt that too many east coasters will bid the west coast to chase a seat or vice versa.
But then that 's only me....

I agree. No fences at all. If they do the SLI the right way, there should be enough seniority protection for all of us.

Of course you L-UALers want no fences. You've been slobbering for a couple of years to get your hands on some new metal as quickly as possible.

could be worse. The doj could have shot down your merger.

No fences? Tell that to the lual pilots who are a couple hundred numbers from the 777 or 400.

I bet the Justice Department (what a farce of a name; I can't even write the words without smirking) will withdraw or settle their lawsuit once they get the kickbacks they're looking for. Just like the new United had to be headquartered in Chicago for our merger to go through. Dirty politicians. Do they come any other way?:mad:
