Fences

Here is the language...

"For a period of five (5) years beginning with the Bid Period in which the ISL is first implemented, or until the carrier takes delivery of its twenty-fifth (25th) B787 aircraft, whichever occurs sooner, no premerger Continental pilot may be awarded a Captain or First Officer vacancy on a B747 or A350 aircraft or displaced to one and no premerger United pilot may be awarded a Captain or First Officer vacancy on a B787 aircraft or displaced to one."

Anyone know when 787 #25 is scheduled to be delivered? That should bring down all the fences.

according to the 2012 annual report:
(so im not sure how 787 troubles affected the delivery schedule)

"Continental had firm commitments to purchase 47 new aircraft (23 Boeing 737 aircraft and 24 Boeing 787 aircraft)
scheduled for delivery from January 1, 2013 through 2016"

That's the way I read the language also; the 25th 787 ends the fence.

Charleston and Everett are starting to produce non-retrofitted 787's so I'd guess far less than 5 years. According to this blog, 7 UAL 787's have been delivered, with 1 aircraft in flight prep, so how long for the other 17 jets?

All 8 of these aircraft should be in operation by the end of this month:
N20904, N26902, N26906, N27901, N27903, N27908, N29907, N45905

I have only seen the list and not the dialogue that goes with it, is this the final language for fences? If so, it seems fair.

We were only scheduled to get 8 or so of the -8 versions we have today then the deliveries are supposed to stop until the larger -9 is ready, will probably be 5 years

The airplane is "way cool". It's a "game changer".
