It ought to be a good afternoon. Last weekend a guy dropped a collared dove in the river, my dog made a beautiful dive, swam out got the bird then swam to opposite bank of the river spit out the bird and took off for two hours. He is a 100% pure bred pilot hound apparently...:D |

Pilot hound from the word go.
She's a great family companion, but she's the laughing stock with my hunting buddies. It's okay though, I can outshoot any of them with a scattergun, and I'm the only one who hunts birds with a recurve bow when I'm really feeling randy. Ruffed grouse knocked dead with an arrow, breasted out, and tossed in a pan without damaged breast meat is the greatest treat in the world. |
