ISL Dispute Ruling Timeline

Just confirmed that we will not hear any response on the ISL disputes filed by both sides until after October 1st. Last week I had heard it would come early this week but since Arbitrator Eischen is on vacation, I was given the new timeline today by a member of the merger committee.

Awesome. This means in October there might be a "corrected" award with all the typos and errors fixed that both sides noticed. (Yippie!?!?)

I'll bet this results in ZERO changes to the actual list as both sides concede there is no evidence, testimony, or precedent to support overturning the award.

You are correct, nothing will change. All the disputes will be set aside, thats my guess. You will notice if you do any reading on the topic of binding arbitration, including some pivotal Supreme Court cases, that there isn't a huge burden for accuracy in the system like there is in let say a criminal trial. Really all they have to prove is the system was done correctly, not that the actual award was factual or accurate. These disputes are simply being filed so that both sides can say they went down swinging to their constituents.
