DTK Visits?
I'm overnighting at the Doubletree across from the DEN training facility tonight. Just wondering if it would be worth my while to bring a couple resumes over there and say hello. Obviously, I wouldn't want to be there if I'd just be in the way. Thoughts?

You would be better off going down to the sports bar in the DT, chatting with a couple UAL guys, then having them show you around in the morning. Ask if they can introduce you to the Fleet Captain (or whatever the title is now) of the Fleet they are training in. Give that person your resume.

What SeamusTheHound said, I've run into a couple of UAL buddies at the DT bar. |

Have you considered how you will get in? Then where to go once in, besides the UAL store? Umm....no.

Umm...yes, which is precisely why I asked. Having never been, I have no idea whether "stopping by" is possible, or if it is otherwise accessible to other airline crews.

Hang out in Character's after 7pm. The advice you've been given is solid. I like Ranger IPA, they have it on tap. *hint hint*

Hummingbear,
The DEN Training Center has security homies that require proper ID's and other stuff to keep the riff-raff out. You need at the very least a UAL escort and temp security badge to wander around. Fleet Captains and others that have any pull are very busy and hard to nail down unless your "escort" knows somebody. TK is not really a place where you can drop a resume on someone. Sorry for the buzzkill but facts is facts. |
