Rumor from another board
For what it's worth.
Attarian is gone within in next couple of weeks. Performance under the FAR117 kickin and massive scheduling meltdown (yes, those stories about trips assigned to dead and retired pilots are true) were the key triggers. No word on replacement ... |

Nice try. This management doesn't get rid of incompetence, it embraces it! Look around at the way they phased in "Shares" "CCS" "FIFO".

If I hadn't spent four years at JetBlue during furlough #1 I would have believed you. ;) But....if the BOD wants to re-hire him as the EWR VP I'm all for it. |

I have forwarded ol' Frankie's resume. Lorenzo has even taught his sheep to do some cool tricks. If he's taught them how to screw their own, imagine what he can do with pilots!
http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2010/...ortune/12.html See the photos and look carefully. PS, -PF Changs is on my "do not buy" list from now on. It's a Lorenzo investment. Didn't know that. |
Says in the article he flies Continental to Spain. Really? That would not be wise, I hope I don't ever see him.

You can gleen fron the article that it was written sometime in 2010 when it was still seperate flying. I can not imagine he views flying on the new UAL the same as old CAL.
Do you really think that he cares whether it's a LCAL or LUAL crew on board. |

And how would that view be any different? He gets on the airplane, doesn't eat, doesn't drink and doesn't interact with the crew. In one case I know of the Captain refused to fly with Lorenzo on his aircraft. Lorenzo quietly got off.
Do you really think that he cares whether it's a LCAL or LUAL crew on board. I based my perspective on the fact that for the last 30 years there was a HUGE contingent that owed their careers to him as opposed to a vast MAJORITY now who think of him,let us just say, differently. It's a psychological excercise in theoretics if that plays into his decision making matrix. You say no... I say it very well may. |

Mmm.. maybe he doesn't care. But he will think of it differently as his old CAL has morphed into something unrecognizable and mostly unfamiliar. It will simply not be the same experience for him. How he reacts to it is anybodys guess. It will be interesting to see what happens.

For the past 30 years he has not dared to eat, drink nor interact with anyone on the airplane. I look forward to watching the first interactions with this new polarized crew you speak of. I'm guessing the stance taken on this forum will be a bit stronger than the stance taken in person. Trust me Frank could care less. |

Umm I'll give you a pass on this one because you are making your assumptions based only upon rumor and innuendo. Frank Lorenzo has no friends at the old CAL. Even the most die hard scab hated Lorenzo. He had death threats, food poisoned and captains walking off of airplanes. The problem is, the times have changed. You now lose your job or better yet get arrested.

I will trust your good word, sir, on how he was hated by the scabs. I find it absolutely fascinating that the very person who gave the scabs their career(at the expense of EAL and strikers) would be persona non grata. Feel free to expand on this dynamic if you're familiar.
I have only run into one Frank lover in my 13 years and he was an Eastern scab who got on the property here in the 90's. Everyone else hates the mere thought of the man. |

I don't know about that. He's at JetBlue and doing a great job of screwing it all up. Remember they just hit the Control, Alt, Delete button on their entire operations a few weeks ago because of the weather and their lack of operations infrastructure. The JB schedulers didn't even know where any of the pilots were located.
