EWR 76T Flying????

Does anybody know what changes are happening to this fleet/base. They are going from 119 to 195 f/o's on the last bid. I can see what they are flying now, but I am confused on what will be changing with the increase in staffing. I know they are parking this plane, but it might not effect this base much with the European flights and the ps flights.

I know they announced they were replacing the legacy CAL 757s on several of the European routes with Legacy UA 767s.

The summer flying plan shows legacy UA 67s going to:
AMS
CDG (2 times a day)
LHR (4 times a day)
TXL

where as this month the UA metal has only AMS and 2 LHRs, so by this summer they will have 5 more intl trips

I am TDY there next month along with 5 other captains. We were told an increase due to the 767 replacing the 757 on some crossings.

Yes. They are upgauging 5 Atlantic crossing routes from LCAL narrowbody jets to LUAL widebody jets.

Given what has been stated previously in various threads about new-hires on the 76T (and rarely flying the 767 because it always goes senior), how will this draw down / shift to more 767 flying impact the junior pilots? Opinions?

It also has Geneva and Zurich as well

pilot64golfer: "Newsflash - There is no LCAL or LUAL we merged 3 yrs ago!! Those terms were used in the SLI which is OVER!! Time to move on!!" It will be hard for YOU!! But, I have faith you can do it!! ;)

It may be time to move on, but until the fleets are combined this is the way we will have to describe the flying. UAL 767-300's (76T) are a separate fleet type form L-CO 756.

This isn't an us vs. them argument unless you make it that.

Dave, technically it would have been more appropriate to say the flying was going from the 752 to the 763. Let's face it the comment was meant to demean Ex-Cons, which is par for the course from that poster.

And it was made that, but I agree with you, we have much bigger fish to fry.
