What is life like for UAL 737 FO Reserve EWR
Thanks to this Jay POS contract reserve sucks. If you are not already employed ... don't apply. If you have the misfortune of already being here leave or stay off reserve!

All perspective, if you live in domicile you're a happy camper, if you're commuting in it blows. Especially when we're running 85%.

If you don't do it they'll do it for you. Twice this month, so far. You can also do it into an HDO or even a vacation if they need to cover the trip, sometimes with premium pay. They're always short on the 737.

What 737 are you on? I have been called twice in 6 months and never scheduled into an FDO.

Ewr FO res. 26.5 hours year to date. Usually one commute a week for a one leg and a dh or a overnight (1 leg each day) or short call / field standby. I am home (live in Texas about 2 hours from my commute airport ) 25 nights a month and never have had to fly into a day off. The 756/76T fleet is completely different. They are short staffed. The 737 res usage will go up more and more throughout the year as we take 19 more deliveries of 737 this year.
