Actual UAL Pilot's Forum
#21
Good to hear it's a non-profit forum and no money flows to any pilot active or retired associated with United or Continental.(still question that) Since we are going on the assumption that the Administration of the board is controlled by LUAL have they extended an opportunity for LCAL to serve in those positions in equal numbers. It may give the forum some creditability.
When will you all just agree that we are ONE group ?! MGT wins when we are anything but.

Here's the bottom line.
-Its the forum. Period. When guys say "I saw on the forum" they are referring to UALPilotsForum.org
-No one profits from it.
-The admins are from both legacy carriers.
-No scabs are allowed.
-You are required to use your real name.
-Within a week of the shutdown of the ALPA.com forum everyone was on that one.
-There are 10X times more posts on there.
-The actual guys that implement the contract are on there daily to answer questions and help
-If you get banned you can't come back on with a different screen name.
-Because its not public, far more information appears on there concerning the contract, etc.
-There are 2,100+ users on that forum, which is far more than using this one.
-We have about 30 people that post on here regularly not counting people that aren't pilots yet. Actually most of the posters on this forum might even be poolies and others looking at working for United.
Don't get me wrong, this is great that anybody can come on here, including people that aren't United pilots, scabs, etc, but the actual private forum is the one in this thread.
This forum should be labeled "For Entertainment Purposes Only"

I've noticed a lot of people on here, especially new hires, that are asking questions about the contract, etc. This APC forum is not the official UAL Pilots forum. The actual official forum where the pilots actually are is this one
www.ualpilotsforum.org
The benefit of that forum is that there are hundreds of pilots who post on there regularly, as well as the contract experts, etc who can actually answer these questions and who will do so in a timely manner. Usually these questions get answered within minutes.
If you are not a United pilot you can't get on the other forum. The administrators actually verify your identity and you have to use your real name and not a handle.
If you want contract advice, etc answered accurately and timely, then that is the forum. It does have its trolls, just like this one, but at least you know who they are.

The So-called "Official" Forum is nothing more than a forum of free speech as long as you don't say anything that offends the Union Thugs (self appointed thought police) who will completely destroy you online if you happen to say something they do not agree with or express something political that is to the right of Karl Marx. I've been there, done that and got the Tee-shirt....no thanks

It is not for the thin skinned but the information gleaned from that forum can prove valuable.
