Any questions?

All this tough talk yet I continue to fly with UAL capts who say 'Hello' to scabs not wearing pins. Again let me know when rhetoric on internet boards meets reality.

I watch them have dinner and drinks with them, lots of talk not mutch action from what I have seen.

The fence doesn't come down per say, more like a temporary hole in the fence. Bidders would only get the bid for that occurrence of lack of bidders, the fence exists for:

"For a period of five (5) years beginning with the Bid Period in which the
ISL is first implemented, or until the carrier takes delivery of its twenty-fifth (25th)
B787 aircraft, whichever occurs sooner"

So, most likely when the 25th 787 arrives Dec. 2015/Jan. 2016 or so.

Certainly would be nice if the sheepish slick tied fo would look at me and say "he's a scab" or at the very least "he's an 83 hire." Saying hello to a scab wearing a pin is one thing , but going out for dinner and drinks rises to a whole new level. Saying hello to a slick tie? You got me there.

And the massive 787 vacancy bid arrives Nov 2015.

At the same time a ridiculously massive 747 FO bid.

The next month the fence falls.

A few months later hundreds if not thousands of pilots do not get trained as 747 FOs. (Who knew that we didn't need 2,000 747 FOs)

Those pilots bump to anything their seniority can hold.

Problem solved.

Nope, just trickle bids for the 400. Why a large bid for a fleet that is not growing unlike the scabliner? Surely you jest.

In the entire history of airline layovers, I doubt anyone has ever actually said that! :D
