Den TDY

So a new TDY opened up today for 13 Airbus FOs from Ewr or iah TO Den. Didnt we just have a displacement bid for Den airbus FOs ?

Anyone care to comment on the logic of this? What am I missing?

Comment.....seems pretty normal for this place...

It's enough to drive Yogi Berra nuts. Back to studying ops efficiency.

You have achieved enlightenment, young Grasshopper.

Ops efficiency and Third Trimester training:

Did mine yesterday. The radar/weather avoidance module had a drawing with a radar blob, and a plane routed through it. There were three waypoints:

JOEYY
TRKSH
PRISN

At least one person in the training department still has a sense of humor!

The TDY is for October, as in less than 30 days. The displacement is based on the flying anticipated for eight months from now. Additionally you have the small imbalances because they did not want to add staffing to DEN just to displace them down the road. Which is why we seeing only EWR available to new hires. I expect that once this staffing is sorted out that new hires will have a choice between EWR and something else by the end of next year.

Guess it is better than awarding only to displace.

That would be me! :D Glad it made you laugh.....hard to make that stuff interesting. As far as the TDY for DEN.....they surplused 50, but seemed to forget that roughly 15 Bus FOs were picked up as new instructors so the net loss was around 65. Oops!
