ALPA letter-preferential hiring

I heard ALPA recently sent out a letter announcing a deal with United management to give preferential hiring to ALPA pilots that were furloughed or lost their jobs at other ALPA airlines.

Does anyone have info about this deal?

It's been that way for years, but I don't think they follow it exclusively.

Section 21-R of the UPA. I think some pressure has been brought to bear to help out pilots at Comair, and soon, Eagle/Envoy.
