iPads & Apple ID

So United wants my Apple ID to set up my work iPad. I'm just wondering if I should provide my personal account information, or set up a separate Apple ID for work use. If I give my personal account info, won't the UAL iPad be tied into my iPhone/personal iPad? I'm not sure what all the ramifications of that might be, but it seems a little weird to me having a work issued device that is communicating with my personal business.

Anyone have any thoughts/experience with this? What have others done?

Thanks.

IMO, out of privacy concerns, do not use your personal Apple ID on United's iPad. From Flying Together, to turn off the Apple ID request,

"Find My iPad. iOS 7 features an iCloud feature called Find My iPad associated with your Apple ID/iCloud account and password. Please ensure that this feature is turned OFF on the company-issued iPad EFB. If turned ON, you will need to provide your Apple ID and Password should your device ever be lost, stolen or returned."

Use the "United iPad Guide — Configure | Enrollment | Reset | Setup" at Flying Together and it shouldn't ask for the Apple ID.

No you don't have to provide anything personal for your UAL iPad; it's just a generic setup option; it's entirely up to you. I would strongly suggest to keep your UAL iPad strictly UAL related, and use your own E-device for everything else. UAL iPad is a company control property and can be remotely audited at any time by UAL IT. In case of unfortunate turn of events, UAL iPad's content and use will be used during an investigation.
