Displacements seem to be coming to IAH!

FWIW, I heard phone calls are going out to junior 737 CA's, about 40 I think, that they will be bumped.

I thought things were moving forwards not backwards?

They are moving forward. 800 new hires this year and 400+ unfilled vacancies on last month's bids.

The company shifted some flying, and so there are some overages in a few bases they are fixing through displacements.

The bigger SNAFU is they just trained 10 new JR 76T FO's just to turn around and displace them. Though I think I'm gonna try and take a voluntary and go over to the 737. I don't want to be the JR guy in BES after the displacements.

I don't think anyone that junior will be senior enough to hold a Vol displacement in any of the bases. I would bet money all position will be senior and voluntary

Don't the senior displacement have to use the seniority of the junior pilots? So that might limit where they can go.

Yep. The JR 76T FO's are all 07/08 hires. They can only hold 737 FO in ORD.
