Wow thanks things are moving fast. Congrats.

Things are moving fast but seems there was a bit of a wrinkle in the pattern between the March 24th class and the yet to be announced April 7th class. Anyone have any knowledge of why? Is there a new system bid coming out or something?

bigboeings 03-13-2015 05:19 PM

Wow this was out of the blue. I just got called and asked if I can make the 31st class. Affirmative !!! I was told they added 10 people. Im 47 yo. so was also told that I was probably 1 or 2 in the class. Probably going to bid EWR 756.

Congrats! I was the following week interview after you, so hopefully my # isn't far behind. Any info, on why the change? Anything on April 7 class?

Congrats and welcome Boeing...and thanks for taking the grandpa title from me. Hoping still high enough to get 75. See ya in two weeks

bigboeings 03-13-2015 07:01 PM

Not much info other than they added more to the 31st class. I asked about the 7th class, but they had not decided which aircraft would be in that one for sure. Im sure you will get called for the 7th. I was estimating a April 14th class.

What's with that pound sign? :)

40 years old. I must be in the middle of the pack.

bigboeings 03-15-2015 05:55 PM

How many in this class?

djepage 03-15-2015 06:04 PM

22 is the class size

ugleeual 03-16-2015 05:53 AM

that number is supposed to be the norm until summer starts...

DG1000 03-23-2015 01:50 PM

What's the feeling about suits and ties for the graduation picture/ceremony?

I'm not for it but will go with the flow. Just need to know what to pack...

cptslewis 03-23-2015 02:10 PM

I was more concerned w Id pictures. They had a graduation ceremony on my interview day and people were dressed casually.

Personally I wore a suit. Hopefully I only have to do this once for the rest of my career. I wanted to treat it with the most amount of respect I could. Glad I did. On the other hand many just wore business casual and had just as much fun and respect. So whatever makes you comfortable.

We're all pilots so we are typically not the snappiest dressers. That's why we have uniforms. 😜 This is your time so dress how ya like. Welcome aboard. Look forward to seeing you all on line.

Cheers!

I think if you wear Bermuda shorts, Hawaiian shirt, and flip flops they will give you a guam bid.
