Congrats,

Cheers

Haven't heard of an "online class scheduler". Where do you get access to this?

They're not calling any more with the class offer. Just an email link to accept the class via this website. Looks like to me, they're going to do this with the call for interviews as well.

Pilotforsale 04-28-2015 05:05 PM

I'm in as well. April 9th CJO. I got an email also. They don't call anymore. They email a link to an online schedule where you reserve your spot in class.

hallkdsm 04-28-2015 06:13 PM

Thanks for the info! I got the CJO back on mid-Feb (Jun 1st avail) and was expecting the class call next week. Now I'll be expecting the email

climb 05-07-2015 06:59 AM

Bascuela 05-07-2015 09:02 AM

Heck ya!
I gave my two weeks notice last week to my employer. I'm was awaiting OE and they just cut me loose, so now I'm unemployed.

I'm going to be at the Doubletree Bar watching the NY Rangers game Friday night. If anyone is sticking around for the weekend, please join me for a beer or three. I'm buying.

I think bids 5 6 9 and 10 hit the jackpot.

Best flying in the airline.

Late report, early release, mostly Europe?

Please elaborate... I'm trying to learn all I can about the types of flying available so I can make an informed choice :)

What length trips are typical on 756 EWR? 4 day? More?

Majority of the trips are 3-days. Late afternoon shows with early to mid-day finishes. They go through phases where there are 6 day bunky trips...but they are not as common.

I have not been based on the 756 in EWR but I looked pretty hard at it. I was on the 737 in EWR for two years...and I thought that flying was preferable to the 756. It offered a lot more variety. The 756 seems like its commuter friendly... But not when they put those 3 days back to back. My drive to work was too long to make B2B three days workable..

130drvr 05-20-2015 08:04 PM

All night flying to short range Europe on the 75 as a junior guy, being tired for 3 straight days. Of course that is similar to West Coast 73 flying, almost all red eyes and late night flying. Much as I don't care for EWR as a location, the 737 flying is some of the best overall, daylight transcons and Carribean beach layovers. Jr base, Jr equipment is some of the best seniority a new guy can get.
