Default Can't find the L-UAL 757 2nd jumpseat MOU

I will probably misconnect on my deviation flight getting home and the next option is oversold. I emailed the PSC, but I don't know if they will bump me into an oversold flight for deviations, hence, the title question. Thanks!

Tell CSR to look up "GG jumpseat 757" on the computer and it will show the procedure to accomodate a second JS on a 757 with only one.

It's never a problem. Haven't seen a gate agent yet have trouble with this.

Main this is have gate agent walk to cockpit to ask how many jumpseats we have. *if he/she doesn't already know..... Once they confirm 2 jump seats they should be able to handle it from there.

FWIW, the MOU refers to a settlement with pre-merger UAL where the LUAL 757s have "two" pilot jumpseats regardless of the number physically installed (usually one) and the agreement remains in effect with the UPA.

The net result is the company is required to buy off a paying pax on a full flight to accommodate a second jumpseater in the cabin. (Note: this does not apply to offline jumpseaters.)

And yes, many agents will have extreme heartburn with this without guidance and/or prior experience.

Short answer: absolutely not (per the UPA).

However, if you are deviating on the front end they can get amazingly cooperative and creative once they fully comprehend the consequences. Sometimes it take a bit but they eventually get it.
