The smartest guy we had just quit

Rainey was the smartest guy there. This is bad news, particularly since he's being replaced with more Continental "talent" from the 1980's |
I think he is a smart guy, but maybe in the wrong industry.
I have paypal stock and think he is a better fit there. |

So, who do you suppose was behind the $3Billion stock buy back program? How about the well studied financial train wreck of dumping more money in to the $ sucking DENTK crap shoot?

Things got to change here guys and fast! As far as the DENTK issue, I can't say I agree at all. DENTK supported an airline of this size before, and it will do so again easily. It's by far the least disruptive, and probably cheapest, solution of the three options. An added benefit is that I will no longer have to try to sleep at the end of a runway while I'm in training, and I can eat something other than fast food crap. Yet another bene is the chance to clean out the "non-members" running IAHTK |
Rainey was an absolute clown. Good riddance. Smartest guy? YGTBSM

Say what you will about Mr. Rainey, but he has an MBA from Baylor and has been at Continental since 1997. I believe he is the brightest of our management team (not saying much, I know), and I hate to see him go. Hopefully, his reasoning is more of "an offer I can't refuse" than a rat bailing off a sinking ship.

Considering SMI/J went to Harvard & Princeton, Baylor doesn't mean jack. I couldn't stand Rainey and glad he's gone.

I'm just hoping we will get some fresh blood instead of someone from LUAL/LCAL
