Poor Jeff - look at the great job he did with this merger. What do YOU think, we should start a FOX style campaign to put all the blame on CC. Personally, I say burn Jeff at the stake. He's harmed many United employees and the fallout of Jeff's actions will continue to harm the airline and it's employees.

Hopefully, Munoz will take hold of the situation and fry JS and his offending underlings to the point that the Justice Department takes him to task and puts him in jail.

I for one, am willing to wait and see how Mr. Munoz performs before I start casting stones. I am cautiously optimistic! Mr. Munoz seems more operationally inclined. I think that is where the obvious improvement needs to begin. If we don't have a good operation, we can't have a good airline. Richard Anderson is very operationally minded. He allows the beancounters to have their say, but he doesn't let them drive the boat. We need the same type of person to head our airline and set the example. Mr. Munoz also seems a bit more hands on, rather than watching the operation from the 48th floor at the Willis Tower.

I say, even if he isn't convicted of a crime (which may be near considering the suddenness of his departure) that a 4.8 million bonus will be cheap compared to the continuing damage and ill will he caused every day.

What he said. I'm not going to dog the guy before he begins. I have to respect if he's willing to show face and actually take input. Time will tell.

I am not defending Jeff's management blunders by any means. However, look at how incredibly expensive Newark is to operate out of. Perhaps he decided to take a calculated risk to try and do what he could for the benefit of UAL. Obviously he didn't count on the entire Port Authority swamp being drained. The figures in this article are absolutely outrageous. What a classic NY / NJ ripoff. To outgun ORD by such a wide margin is astonishing.

Also look long and hard at the ATL figures for our DAL pals:

As always thanks for the internet blabber Staller. Having used the GW 5/week once upon a time, I fully support all heat CC is getting now that the Feds are taking scalps. But sign me up for the Jeff was done wrong camp. Clearly I'm gonna miss him.:rolleyes:

There are times when you can't get the crook for what he's actually done/doing, so you go with what you can prove. The way the resignations came about kinda indicates he's trying to minimize personal damage. Otherwise, he'd use his United position to fight it. Believe me, he didn't resign to protect United. United will pay for his actions.
