Training to reserve transition

When you finish OE are you off training pay immediately or at the end of that bid month? I'm just asking because I'm finishing Monday (21st) and don't have any duty showing for the remaining days of the bid month. My next duty showing as of now is starting on the 29th (reserve obviously). I don't care either way I just don't know if United still has me on the hook and will put me on reserve as soon as OE is done or if I'm off with pay or without. I'm just curious because my squadron is looking for a pilot to do a short trip next week and I don't know if I'm able to do it or not.

You'll likely go right on reserve when/very soon after you're done. I doubt they'll give you the rest of the month off. As soon as you're done with IOE the crew desk will own you. If nothing shows on your schedule and they don't call I'd go home.

But to answer your question, likely no. Your training pay and per diem stops.

I got a call for an assignment 5 hours after finishing ioe. Even though my schedule didn't show rsv.

Please tell me you let that call go to voicemail. :D

The 3 hours/day training pay stops when you finish training (OE complete). UPA paragraph 3-E-1-c doesn't specifically say that, but it's inferred because training is complete and it doesn't say anything about still getting paid to the end of the bid month.

It would be awesome if it did though, cause it would be like SRM every time you went on a trip for the remainder of the bid period.

I was told by the crew desk that the month you're on OE you're considered a line holder.

I finished OE on the 16th and my schedule shows available and not reserve for the remainder of this month.

Huh, that must be new. I had to serve a 3 day reserve sentence in EWR after I completed OE the same month.

Lead turn it, and senior man the rest of your month. :D

Trying to pick up a line out of domicile but have to wait until 1100 the day before. Always checking the open lines!!

You should have been able to bid for the remaining days of the month during the normal cycle (month prior 12-15th)... In your case reserve days off for any date in PBS that doesn't show IO or TNG.
