Anyone know if there is a good Chinese restaurant in Xi'an?

Having never been there, I can tell you that there is not.

Been there. No food recommendations.

If you make the trip to see the Terracotta Army, plan on the trip taking twice as long as the hotel concierge tells you. The traffic is TERRIBLE.

There's a Walmart near the city wall that's pretty cool - if you've never been in a Chinese Walmart. You could get the ingredients for an authentic Chinese meal there. :D

If you go to Chengdu to see the Pandas, I recommend having pizza at this restaurant: Mike's Pizza Kitchen | Chengdu | Delivery, Take-out, Dine-in (honestly; check the Tripadvisor reviews)

I second Mike's Pizza.
Place your order and head 2 stores down to the doughnut shop (which he owns as well). Have a beer, use the wifi and they will get you when pizza and seats are ready.

Also if you want to go see the laziest bears in the world get there early. Like 7:45 Am. It gets pretty busy after 8-9 AM.

Once it gets hot those pandas are like me and like to go inside and do nothing.

Take taxi to both and it would help if you prayed before.

Peter's Tex-Mex in Chengdu is pretty good also.

Wouldn't they just call it a restaurant there?:D
