I'm trying something different and will report back. I've ordered custom shirts from two different companies (one in the U.K and one here in the states that make made to order pilot shirts with button down or straight (they offer custom engraved brass collar stays so none of that flipping up like many, including A Cut Above, tend to do with the weak, stitched in plastic collar stays) collar. They are made to your specs so the tail can be a little longer to stay tucked and the sleeve length, width can be custom.

1. Whitepilotshirts.com (U.K)
2. Custom Pilot Shirts (U.S)

You two are hilarious.... Look around and you will see guys walking around with collars sticking out like little wings. I send all my shirts to the cleaners (have a wonderful on site cleaning dry cleaner just down the street that is anything but cheap) and use medium starch but still feel my " A Cut Above" collars trying to flip out. Anyway, I'll let you guys know how these custom shirts turn out. At 99.00 a shirt, I hope they fit and wear like a regular dress shirt from brooks brothers or the like. When you get right down to it, as line pilots, we are in these uniforms as much as our regular clothes and I have no issues buying 200.00 jeans or 600.00 Italian loafers so why skimp on the clothes I wear just as much?

$600 Italian loafers? Try the Greeks - harder working than Italians and cheaper.

Yeah. I'm not a flashy dresser but I do have a couple of pairs of super comfortable loafers by Farragamo and a pair of black ones from their competition (Gucci)for dressy occasions. You can't skimp on comfortable shoes.

No doubt. Clarks are great shoes. Everyone has their little extravagances. One of mine is shoes I guess. My wife laughes at me as well. I tell her that when her underwear starts to go missing then she should worry, until then be glad it isn't cocain and hookers...
