and you also have to be activated in the category......Have you already received notification from the last vacancy that you have been activated into the awarded category or was this from a previous vacancy?
Pilot Service Center for the request, if I remember correctly. I hate titles... |

Do you get the same three transfer days...

But you only get more than the three transfer days if you actually move.

Just be careful to comply with 10-G-2 (reimbursement) if you decide to try and expense it back to the company. |

There's a form specifically for transfer days that you could fax to the pilot service center. Next time you're near a flight office, grab one, fill it out and have them fax it for you.

That works as well. I was just offering some flight office job justification.

Reviving this thread...
I can request the days in the future, but don't actually have to physically move during those days. The only thing that I would be missing out on is expensing the mileage, meals, hotels, and laundry. Is that a correct statement? I also have 90 days to take the Transfer days. When do those 90 days start ticking for a new hire? TIA |

one thing to remember with transfer days as a newhire is you have 24 hours from starting to elect when you want them or they will default them to right after your checkride. IMO better to have then after IOE since there could be days off anyway after sim
For tranfer days, the 90 day clock starts at the completion of your LOE, or the first day on which you begin a schedule in that new Category, when no training is required. You can take transfer days at your option provided that they don't fall over holidays and have to inform the Company at least three days prior to Monthly Schedule Preferencing for the bid period in which you intend to take the transfer days. |
